The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for driving growth and revenue through strategic partnerships, new business development, and sales leadership in large-scale industrial, data center, and healthcare sectors. Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and implement long-term growth strategies for large-scale projects in industrial, data center, and healthcare sectors.
Identify new market opportunities and potential partnerships in these high-value sectors.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business decisions.
Business Development and Sales
Set and achieve revenue targets for large-scale projects.
Oversee the business development process by acquiring and defining project opportunities.
Prepare, develop, and deliver high-quality proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Participate in the estimating and budgeting process for competitive proposals.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in industrial, data center, and healthcare sectors.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Negotiate and close high-value deals for large-scale projects.
Project Oversight
Collaborate with project managers to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction to execution phase.
Provide leadership on financial and profitability aspects of new projects.
Establish profit margins with the Director of Preconstruction and Project Manager.
Team Leadership
Lead and manage the business development team, setting goals and providing mentorship.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop company-wide strategies and objectives.
Foster a culture of innovation and open communication within the team
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in business development roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions focused on large-scale industrial, data center, or healthcare projects.
Track Record: Proven track record of closing contracts in the $50-500 million range for large-scale projects.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction procedures, trade practices, building codes, and project scheduling specific to industrial, data center, and healthcare sectors.
Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proficiency in financial planning, resource management, and data analysis; experience in strategic planning and execution for large-scale capital projects.
