Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is pivotal to Veoci's sales strategy, driving lead generation and qualification with Industry Vertical Teams. As the first point of contact for many prospects, you'll identify and qualify leads, ensuring a smooth transition to Account Executives (AEs). Utilizing tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Vidyard, and Veoci's custom-built CRM, you'll create targeted outreach campaigns, engage prospects, and deliver Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
This is not a call-center role; success requires initiative, creativity, and adaptability. SDRs at Veoci take ownership of the lead-generation process, crafting tailored campaigns and collaborating with AEs to drive results in Aviation, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Enterprise/Financial Services, and Utilities. Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking are essential in this fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach
Run custom sales campaigns and execute high-volume outreach through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging.
Engage with leads from diverse sources, including trade shows, webinars, inbound channels, and LinkedIn research.
Lead Qualification
Assess prospects using BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline).
Qualify leads and schedule product demonstrations with Veoci's solutions teams.
Nurture leads that are not yet ready to take action, maintaining engagement and building trust.
Collaboration & Initiative
Partner with AEs in your assigned vertical to strategize on lead generation and outreach efforts.
Play an active role in shaping and refining Veoci's custom lead-generation system, bringing innovative ideas and feedback.
Demonstrate independence and creativity in crafting prospecting approaches that align with the Veoci platform's capabilities.
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and opportunity information in Veoci's in-house CRM.
Stay involved in the sales process as needed to ensure smooth transitions and successful outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills, with comfort and enthusiasm for picking up the phone to engage with prospects.
Ability to connect with professionals managing crises and critical events, delivering value-driven conversations that respect their time.
Organized and detail-oriented, with practical time management skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales outreach tools.
Resilience, a proactive mindset, and a goal-driven approach.
Previous experience in a similar SDR, BDR, or B2B sales role (preferred).
Physical Requirements & Compensation
This role can be 100% remote, or you can work from our New Haven headquarters. Expect 2-5 days of travel per quarter for industry trade shows, customer meetings, and company events.
The total compensation for this role includes a base salary between $45,000 and $65,000, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits. Total compensation will vary based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
