Actively searching for a Principal Remediation Engineer, who will primarily concentrate on fostering growth, cultivating client connections, overseeing teams, and acting as a proficient specialist in the realm of remediation engineering and design. This position involves collaborating with a wide range of clients from various sectors such as industrial, healthcare, biotech, education, development, and municipal.

The ideal candidate in this position possesses a strong background in applying various remedial technologies, including; Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Air Sparging, Dual Phase Extraction (DPE), in-situ bioremediation, In-Situ Chemical Oxidation, groundwater extraction and treatment, dig and haul, waste disposal/waste characterization.

Desirable qualifications include a deep understanding of remedial construction techniques, along with an extensive knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks like MTCA, RCRA and CERCLA. Proficiency in addressing various contaminants commonly encountered in site remediation, such as petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated compounds, metals, PFAS, PCBs, dioxins and furans, and other common compounds is also expected. Responsibilities
  1. Develop and evaluate remedial alternatives, complete options analyses, and prepare Feasibility Studies presenting the results
  2. Prepare design plans and specifications for selected remedial alternative, prepare bid documents, and, evaluate bids and contractor selection.
  3. Oversee remedial action installation/construction manage the operation of environmental remediation systems or other remedial options.
  4. Lead and oversee field studies, data gathering, and sampling activities, including soil & groundwater sampling, indoor air quality assessments, vapor intrusion assessments, and hydrogeological data evaluation.
  5. Develop and nurture client relationships through consultative technical sales, driving business growth.
  6. Mentor and provide leadership to technical staff, supporting their career growth as subject matter experts.
  7. Evaluate remedial progress data, adjust remedial strategies, manage projects or task schedules and budgets, and supervise and mentor mid/junior level staff & field personnel.
  8. Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, develop proposals, determine scope, costs, schedule, and budgets.
  9. Lead, prepare, direct, and review technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
  10. Ensure quality control by reviewing proposals and reports written by others.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, civil, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited university.
  2. 15+ years of consulting experience, demonstrating expertise in the Pacific Northwest.
  3. Professional Engineering (PE) Registration in Washington State or registration in Geology (LG) or Hydrogeology (LHG) is REQUIRED.
  4. Proficiency in computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).
  5. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report and proposal preparation.
  7. Strong writing and analytical skills.
  8. Experience in project team management oversight and leadership.
