Position Description:
Develop and build relationships with business owners, investment banks, private equity firms, accounting firms, commercial banks and other relevant financial constituents.
Mine internal and external contact databases, drive email campaigns and outbound telephone efforts on behalf of senior team members to generate leads and meetings.
Assist with the origination and referral of prospective direct and secondary debt transactions across Star Mountain's Collaborative Ecosystem.
Confidently and persuasively influence business owners and fund managers with respect to Star Mountain's flexible capital solutions and value-added capabilities.
Identify relevant conference and industry events for Star Mountain team members to attend, and coordinate conference attendance plan.
Drive business development activities through attendance and prospect follow-up with respect to industry conferences, trade shows and deal community events.
Maintain accurate relationship data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including grading relationship quality of our counterparties.
Strategically optimize our origination function and identify the most relevant internal constituents and senior team members to address counterparty needs by geography and industry.
Support broader marketing initiatives including deal announcements.
Provide analytical support (researching and assessing) on a wide variety of assignments such as market research, outreach strategies, event execution, competitive analysis, operational data, etc.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in an investment firm, brokerage firm or bank. A combination of experiences and exposure to a range of industries is preferred.
Degree in finance, business or related field is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce or other enterprise-grade CRM software.
History of professional and academic success and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
Excellent verbal and relationship skills, as well as the dynamic personality to be influential with senior business executives through telephonic and in-person interactions.
Highly collaborative and the ability to work closely with other professionals both internally and externally - a sense of humor is a distinct advantage.
Organized, thoughtful, detail-oriented, punctual and proactive, with the ability to multi-task, track responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Compensation:
The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and performance during the selection process. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and other economics. Total compensation may vary by role, location, department, and individual performance.
