Assist Global Cost Accounting Leader in implementing US standard costing methodologies and practices across all US and Australian affiliates.
Assist with annual standard cost roll for the US and Australia.
Continuously monitor and assess the accuracy of the Company's standard cost methodology and adjust when necessary to reflect current costs more accurately.
Provide support to update material, labor, and overhead rates before annual cost standards roll.
Investigate and resolve costing errors, including issues with bill of materials, work order costing, and production routers.
Assist with establishing intercompany inventory transaction pricing, including any statutory transfer pricing requirements and related eliminations.
Partner with Engineering to establish initial costs for new products.
Implement US standard operating procedures for inventory controls. Conducted and prepared a monthly reconciliation of all inventory and inventory-related balance sheet accounts. Present all reconciliations to accounting leadership. Work with local operations team on corrective actions.
Assist with any cost accounting-related month-end entries and ensure processes are completed promptly and accurately.
Review or prepare any required supplemental reports in conjunction with the monthly close.
Investigate and analyze the P&L impacts of inventory transactions, including but not limited to purchase price variance, foreign currency exchange, other variances, and other costs of goods sold.
Assist the local operations team and global operations finance team in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for other costs of material accounts or other accounts as required.
Complete all assigned general accounting functions and support the local accounting team where and when necessary.
Assist with annual financial statement audits and other unplanned audits from governing bodies.
Recommend and drive continuous improvement of accounting and local operations processes.
Participate in ad-hoc requests and project analysis as needed to drive efficiencies for the business or function.
Qualifications:
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting
2+ years' experience in Cost Accounting
Manufacturing environment experience is a plus
Specific Skills:
Knowledge and experience with US standard costing and controls methodologies
Detailed knowledge of Oracle Fusion and the interaction of costing and inventory modules with manufacturing and distribution modules
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Sound judgment and ability to work independently
Detail oriented

Excellent analytical thinking
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate with multi-departmental teams
