- Experience in creating & maintaining DBD,PSB & ACB.
- Good experience in IMS catalog utilities.
- Knowledge of IMS database access methods using OSAM & VSAM.
- Knowledge of Full function database organization types: HDAM,HIDAM,INDEX,GSAM.
- Knowledge of DB2 stored Procedures accessing IMS database using ODBA/ODBM is recommended.
- Experience in working in a IMS data-sharing system that is available 24X7.
- Extensive knowledge in DBRC.
- Extensive Experience in Maintaining and supporting IMS databases providing backups, recoveries and disaster recovery.
- Monitor space utilization of all IMS databases.
- Monitor IMS database fragmentation and perform reorgs when required.
- In-depth Knowledge in BMC Utilities (Unload, reload, Reorg & Pointer Checker).
- Hands-on experience in BMC Mainview & IBM File Manager .
- Knowledge in usage of IMSPA/IMSPI reports to analyze performance problems.
- Working Knowledge in IMS data compression & Exit routines.
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation schedule as required.
