Environmental Remediation Business Development/Practice Leader

Overview:
Seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Environmental Practices team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of environmental regulations, project management, and business development. This role will be responsible for overseeing a team of environmental professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and driving business growth.
You need to have the following experience:
Project management in environmental consulting projects (remediation, air quality)
NOT working for an operating company
After being in the field and doing the project work, you would then have been a seller/doer where you are/were bringing in these types of projects and working with clients
You are still in Business Development but more from a national/I manage other seller/doers and run an office.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance the company's environmental practice capabilities.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
Oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.
Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of environmental professionals.
Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to foster professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Oversee the successful execution of environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
Manage project budgets and timelines to optimize profitability.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
Represent the company at industry conferences and events to enhance brand visibility.
Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Stay informed of evolving environmental regulations and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permits.
Advise clients on regulatory requirements and potential compliance issues
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on groundwater and soil remediation a plus.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, and state-specific regulations.
Professional certification or license is a major plus. (PE, PG, CPG, PhD, etc.).
Must work in a collaborative environment with other business development, sector, program, and operational leaders.
Experience leading, mentoring, and managing staff in a positive manner, Team Player mentality is essential.
Client contacts and relationships with multiple client sectors and services lines
Business development and marketing experience including experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
Industry experiences generating leads, creating proposals, conducting sales presentations, meeting sales goals, and directing project work execution.
A proven record of accomplishment with client development and revenue generation, as well as have established industry and regulatory contacts.
