Pay: $70,000 - $115,000 (salary determined by experience level and years in a relevant industry)
Position Summary:
The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in the execution of small to mid-sized construction projects. This role involves overseeing project administration, cost management, scheduling, safety compliance, and resource coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards on all project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Support: Assist the Project Manager in managing project cost, schedules, and resources.
Procurement Coordination: Handle material take-offs, prepare scoping documents, manage requests for proposals, and issue purchase orders.
Technical Oversight: Prepare and review RFIs, inspection records, and constructability reports.
Submittals and Turnovers: Manage submittals, oversee work package closures, resolve punch lists, and ensure smooth project turnovers.
Safety Compliance: Lead safety initiatives, maintain compliance with company safety standards, and ensure subcontractors adhere to policies.
Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 0-2 years in construction project management or engineering.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with construction software such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
Ability to read and analyze technical drawings, schedules, and cost reports.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
