The Director of Credit and Collections will be responsible for leading the department. The position reports to the VP Controller and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the overall credit and collections process to reduce the delinquency rates and improve cash flow. This position works closely with sales and customer service team to resolve issues related to credit and collections.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee the credit and collections activities of the organization
Develop and implement strategies to improve the credit and collections process
Design and implement effective reporting
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve credit and collections issues
Prepare and present reports on credit and collections activities to senior management
Lead and motivate a team
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Identify and mitigate potential credit risks
Implement technology solutions to improve the credit and collections process
Monitor industry trends and best practices in credit and collections
Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management and leadership experience
Proven track record of reducing delinquency rates and improving cash flow
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
