Ultimate Staffing Services is assisting a client in South East Houston who is seeking a HUD Certified Counselor. This role involves guiding clients through the home buying process, conducting financial analyses, and advocating for homeownership preservation. Must have a HUD Certified Counselor ID and at least 1 year of experience as a HUD Certified Counselor.
Responsibilities
Basic Job Function: The Housing Counselor is responsible for providing professional counseling in areas such as Pre-purchase, Post-purchase, and Budgeting. Following the NeighborWorks/HUD guidelines, the counselor provides education, information, and guidance to help clients make informed decisions about their housing options. They will interact with lenders/servicers and advocate for clients to obtain the best mortgage products available.
Provide clients with information on all aspects of the home buying process and requirements.
Remain available to clients throughout the buying process to address problems or questions.
Provide education through eHome and counselor-guided classes
Qualifications
Associate's Degree or higher preferred
HUD Housing Certified Coulselor ID
1 year + experience as a HUD Certified Counselor
Excellent organizational, oral, written, communication, and computer skills.
Ability to maintain essential written records and reports.
Proven ability to work as a self-starter and team member.
Excellent program management skills and ability to work independently
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
Spanish is a plus.
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
