A large hospital in Houston is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a contract role

Department of Orthopedic Surgery

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

MRT license and ARRT Certification is required EMR: Epic experience is preferred

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED Associate/technical degree from an accredited college is required

Job Summary/Description:

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to):

• Assist patients in educating them on the procedures to be performed in a calm and courteous manner
• Prepare equipment and patients' rooms for use
• Position and monitor patients during their imaging exams
• Submit views to the provider for their review
• Always ensure the safety of patients and equipment
• Administer targeted doses of radiation to the patient as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment as needed
