Job Description:

Due Diligence - Building Assessment (Required - knowledge and experience in ASTM E2018)
1. A full understanding of building assessment principles and practices
2. A full understanding of building structures, systems, finishes, equipment, and requirements
3. A full understanding of repair and replacement cost
4. Strong report writer
Due Diligence - Environmental (Not required but a plus)
1. Understanding of environmental principles and practices
2. Understanding environmentally significant operations, systems, equipment, environmental concerns, and requirements
Responsibilities
1. Take advantage of continuing education courses, attend industry conferences, & read monthly book selections
2. Identify risk & offer recommendations to our client for resolution by the project team
3. Travel to job sites unassisted to document completed work & gather information for incorporation into reports
4. Prepare and issue reports without assistance
5. Lead conversations with our clients and project teams in coordination of documentation and resolution of complex issues
a. Ability to steer project teams to desired outcomes
6. Manage own schedule including organizing own travel plans
7. Visit with clients unassisted with a focus on business development & relationship building
8. Marketing efforts inclusive of project highlights & website updates
9. Maintain an organized e-filing system for all projects
10. Maintain up to date project logs with the assistance of Associate Consultants
11. Communicate with our clients & individual teams on the status of documents as well as issues identified
12. Manage and mentor Associate Consultants and other Consultants
13. Become proficient and detail oriented in reviews
14. Other job related duties may be assigned
Qualifications
1. General knowledge of business & management principles
2. Computer skills & knowledge of office software package
3. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental, or other relevant accreditation
4. Minimum 6 years of related experience
5. Sufficient consulting experience; generally requires 3 years for building assessment consulting
