How you can help: We are looking for a Buyer I to provide outstanding domestic and offshore purchasing and logistics support to the organization. Review historic, current, and future forecasts to execute purchase orders as well as proactively manage action/exception messages. Contributes to moderately complex projects. Managing all aspects of purchasing from, tracking purchases, monitors vendor quality, to timely deliveries, recommends and implements process improvements.
This might be a good fit if you can:
Analyze system data and messages to identify and purchase goods, materials, equipment, and services in support of the business operational needs, considering forecast, price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
Submit purchase orders to domestic and offshore suppliers, proactively managing the order through final invoicing.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and as set by management.
Maintain accuracy of stock code information within system, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
Maintain effective internal and external customer and supplier relationships.
Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns. Escalate issues as necessary and appropriate.
Work with our Freight Forwarder on pricing, tracking, and improving processes.
Assist in writing purchasing processes and procedures.
Assist Buyer II and Manager with projects.

What you need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 1-3 years of experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Understanding of supply chain management and logistics
Excellent computer skills
Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers.
