Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Material Planning Coordinator to join our Client's team in York, PA. This position will report to the Material Value Stream Manager in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing, issuing, and controlling MRP production schedules and material requirements, ensuring a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production needs while maintaining MRP integrity and accuracy. The role will require close collaboration with internal stakeholders to support production planning, resolve issues, improve processes, and manage workloads.

Pay Rate: $29 hr.
Note: MRP experience (Oracle or SAP) is required
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Floor Execution: Act as the primary interface between production management, first-line supervision, material control specialists, and production support to ensure timely material delivery. Perform line audits to identify and resolve material availability issues, including reorder malfunctions, material obsolescence, and misplaced items.
Maintain accurate inventory levels on the shop floor and ensure alignment with MRP for the assigned production line.
Collaborate with production engineering, quality, and operations to ensure material availability supports the production schedule.
Update work order progress and material consumption using MRP systems and process relevant documents such as release requests, shipping documents, and material requests.
Demand Management: Assess and communicate the impact of engineering change orders (ECOs) on material costs and production, focusing on reducing inventory obsolescence.
Establish, monitor, and validate MRP inputs to ensure adequate supply and prevent stockouts.
Material Flow Management: Track and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments according to production schedules, while troubleshooting material bottlenecks.
Report material status and troubleshoot performance issues such as scrap rates and reorder activities.
Material Risk Management: Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and manage material flow to the production floor.
Conduct cycle counting on the shop floor and ensure reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
Skills Required:

Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Skills Preferred:

1+ years of relevant experience in operations or supply chain
