We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to work from the Wilmington, DE headquarters. This key position will be focused on optimizing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, and managing international freight logistics.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Vice-President of Emile Henry USA, the Purchasing Manager's responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Purchase for 3 exclusive international brands for USA distribution: Emile Henry, Jars and Marcato and eventually purchase cartons & packaging supplies.
Analyze historical data, key customer forecasts, and anecdotal feedback to forecast inventory needs and initiate purchases.
Control inventory activities.
Develop and write standard and ad-hoc reporting for Sales and Operations management.
Manage international freight logistics.
Forecast sales based on statistical trends.
Maintain the Item Master and publish a variety of product specific data.
Generate POs and process PO confirmations: checking for pricing accuracy and tracking each PO until all confirmations are received.
Factory communication: Start communication of breakage/damage/shortage issues and standard questions of lead time/MOQ if needed.
Maintain shipment logs: process freight invoices, verify logistics charges, process factory shipments, update SAP and create shipping folders.
Process Inventory Adjustments: Perform lid/body splits for Customer Service, perform goods issue/goods receipts.
Communicate with Customer Service team on item availability, shipment log information/container statuses and respond to sales team inquiries and communicate requests to factory as needed.
New item and kit creation: Respond to kit requests from CSRs.
