Emile Henry USA is a wholesale company based out of Wilmington, DE and is the sole US distributor of three European premium brands: Emile Henry (culinary products), Jars (tableware products) and Marcato (pasta machines & accessories). Founded in 1850, in Burgundy, France, Emile Henry has established a worldwide reputation for manufacturing the finest quality ceramic ovenware, gourmet cooking and bakeware products.

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to work from the Wilmington, DE headquarters. This key position will be focused on optimizing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, and managing international freight logistics.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Vice-President of Emile Henry USA, the Purchasing Manager's responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Purchase for 3 exclusive international brands for USA distribution: Emile Henry, Jars and Marcato and eventually purchase cartons & packaging supplies.
  • Analyze historical data, key customer forecasts, and anecdotal feedback to forecast inventory needs and initiate purchases.
  • Control inventory activities.
  • Develop and write standard and ad-hoc reporting for Sales and Operations management.
  • Manage international freight logistics.
  • Forecast sales based on statistical trends.
  • Maintain the Item Master and publish a variety of product specific data.
  • Generate POs and process PO confirmations: checking for pricing accuracy and tracking each PO until all confirmations are received.
  • Factory communication: Start communication of breakage/damage/shortage issues and standard questions of lead time/MOQ if needed.
  • Maintain shipment logs: process freight invoices, verify logistics charges, process factory shipments, update SAP and create shipping folders.
  • Process Inventory Adjustments: Perform lid/body splits for Customer Service, perform goods issue/goods receipts.
  • Communicate with Customer Service team on item availability, shipment log information/container statuses and respond to sales team inquiries and communicate requests to factory as needed.
  • New item and kit creation: Respond to kit requests from CSRs.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous procurement/materials planning experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • English written and oral communication skills.
  • SAP business one experience, an asset.
