The Production Coordinator will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring the timely production of high-quality toys and collectibles. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Maintain production schedules to meet deadlines while optimizing workflow efficiency.
Provide all necessary information to vendors on shipping processes and production, testing, and sample requirements.
Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure timely shipments and assist with new product development.
Track production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet demand and resolve delays.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors to develop new products and ensure timely approvals and shipments.
Ensure clear communication of priorities, deadlines, and updates to vendors and company teams.
Resolve production issues promptly, escalating complex challenges to senior management when necessary.
Quality Assurance
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet design specifications and quality standards.
Address production errors or defects and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare regular reports on production status, delays, and improvement opportunities.
Update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production workflows.
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in the production process and recommend improvements.
Assist in implementing new systems, tools, and technologies to streamline operations.
Team Support & Supervision
Provide administrative and logistical support to the production team.
Help train and onboard new team members, ensuring they understand procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of experience in a production coordination or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or project management
Proficiency with production planning tools and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
Experience in toy or collectible manufacturing.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain management.
Familiarity with quality standards for toys and collectibles (e.g., ASTM, CPSIA).
