Be a part of a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health and promoting education and research surrounding infectious disease. As the Director of Corporate Relations, you will lead the organizations Foundation's corporate business development strategy, expanding corporate support and collaborating with the VP of Business Development and other leaders to meet annual fundraising goals. In this role you will design and execute relationship-building strategies for industry partners, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute an annual, comprehensive fundraising strategy with specific goals to enhance organizational sustainability, focusing on securing $25,000+ annual investments through year-round partner cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Oversee the creation and delivery of funding proposals, pitch decks, and presentations in response to support requests
Manage partnerships with companies and organizations focused on infectious diseases, research, and workforce development, ensuring alignment with program priorities
Work with the Foundation, VP of Business Development, and Directors to maintain programmatic knowledge and drive strategic, partner-focused initiatives
Ensure industry partners receive appropriate recognition through marketing channels and events by coordinating across departments
Regularly monitor and report on partner pipelines, proposal tracking, and deadlines to ensure timely follow-up and completion
Continuously evaluate new sponsorship opportunities and market trends to expand partnership prospects
Develop and manage a cost-effective budget for industry fundraising, reporting progress to senior leadership and the Board
Lead, coach, and mentor a team focused on growing new industry partnerships and maintaining existing relationships
Set clear success metrics for project management, plan team capacity, and model a coaching style to support high-level staff contributions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
10+ years in fundraising or related fields, with increasing responsibility; background in healthcare, infectious diseases, or HIV preferred
Deep understanding of corporate sponsorship and partnership models, donor database management, and data-informed development strategies
Proven experience in project management and team leadership, with ability to set objectives, motivate, and manage performance effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable "making the ask" with executives and building rapport with new contacts
Skilled in managing a high-volume workload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail
Capable of developing and executing long-term partnership strategies and presenting complex ideas concisely
Ability to inspire staff and stakeholders, creating an inclusive, philanthropic culture
Committed to the organization's mission, with the ability to adapt leadership styles and foster a learning environment
Understands interconnected systems and impacts, capable of driving change
Exceptional organizational abilities, with skill in uniting decision-makers for goal alignment
Strong MS Office skills, and preferred experience with Google Analytics, SalesForce, RelSci, LinkedIn Navigator, and Adobe Acrobat
CFRE credential preferred
Must be able to travel up to 30% to events and partner meetings
Compensation
Salary: $130,000-$140,000
