Reports to: Senior Vice President Sales Commercial North America
Salary: Base $220,000 + 30-40% Bonus + Benefits
The Position
This position is responsible for over $100MM sales direct to 4 Integrated Distributors put into brackets owned by the client company and to 20 Independent Distributors in the Western states using the two-step distribution process. This is a multi-faceted role that demands a blend of strategic thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on execution. The incumbent will play a critical role in setting the strategic direction, driving sales, managing key accounts, and leading a large- size team to achieve and exceed business objectives. In partnership with the NA Commercial leader and the other Regional General Managers, the incumbent will identify, negotiate and integrate new distributors into the distribution network. The brands sold in this Commercial segment are multi-million dollar brands.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for a $100-$150MM P&L
The role demands 10 % annual sales growth (inorganic and organic)
Candidate must have appetite for EBIT and drive for new products and solutions shaping and molding the go to market process
Proven track record in sales growth and strategic account management
Ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong combination of strategic thinking and tactical implementation skills
Define and execute a clear commercial strategy for the West Region, aligning with the overall North America strategy and global objectives
Use insights from market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business strategy and product development
Ensure the achievement of sales targets and KPIs through active management of the sales pipeline and key customer relationships
Oversee operational processes and systems to ensure efficiency and high-quality customer service
Demonstrates working experience in both independent and direct business models
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or comparable field
At least 7+ years of experience in a commercial leadership role
Ability to travel as required within the region, up to 70% of the time
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Solid understanding of P&L management, financial reporting, and budgeting
Candidate must be both strategically and operationally strong
Experience with the value chain between manufacturer, distributors, and the end consumer
