Pay for this position is 21.00 to 25.00 hourly depending on experience.
This position is an 18 month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.

Requirements:
Recent Bachelors degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, etc.) plus academic lab experience or High School Diploma and one year of professional experience.
Understanding of basic biochemistry principles, such as buffer and solution preparation
Position Summary:
Primary role of the Lab Technician II is to work in a highly collaborative environment providing lab support to Research Associates and Scientists.
The Lab Technician II is independently maintaining the laboratory, including supplies and maintenance of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
Maintaining laboratory equipment and analytical instruments, including coordination and communication with vendors.
Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory and assisting with organizational initiatives and monthly lab cleanups.
Maintaining supply availability with increasing understanding of usage.
Preparing solutions and buffers as needed.
Performing daily equipment calibration as required, including pH and conductivity probes.
Individual will interact primarily with the Purification Development laboratory staff (RA and Scientist level) in Bothell in a technical support role.
