Our Risk & Payments team's purpose is to serve our global community by providing payment support, upholding our payment principles, and protecting individuals and businesses against payment abuse. We seek to lead the payments industry in trust, integrity, and support. To help us achieve this mission, we are adding a Payments Data Analyst in our Partner Data Solutions team. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving data analytics and building out data solutions around payment partner performance across our different payment flows. You'll be monitoring, understanding and building a scalable payments ecosystem.
We are looking for someone who can set the direction in payments performance by aligning different engineering, product, and operations teams, and by building on the strengths of those teams. Our ideal candidate is passionate about data and has a track record of bringing course-changing insights to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide data insights, determine what is important, clarify next steps and delegate to meet expectations
Design, prototype and test payment partner performance metrics
Create forecasting, monitoring and alerting systems for these metrics
Facilitate data conversations with product, engineering and operations teams to align on shared goals
Create a deep understanding of a complex technical environment through data and reporting of partner performance
Become an expert in our payments and support infrastructure, products, tools, systems, and data
Lead efforts in creating quality assessment systems of complex payment flows
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience designing, running, and presenting data analysis
3+ years of experience querying data (SQL or similar) or performing statistical analysis (R, Python, or similar)
Proven experience building relationships among multiple teams
Experience explaining data analyses to cross-functional teams who are not focused on analytical work
Experience working with complex payment processing data
Experience working autonomously and collaboratively
Experience working with online payments data
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Business or similar or equivalent professional experience
Graduate degree or equivalent practical experience in related field
Experience delivering measurable results in risk, security, payments, or business strategy
Experience working in the payments industry, focused on how to improve payment processes
Data analytic skill sets (regression analysis, cluster, stats)
Pay range is $55 - $60 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
