Primary Function:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory and BOM Specialist to manage and optimize our inventory records, bill of materials (BOM), item codes, and inventory valuation within our ERP system. This role will be pivotal in ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency across production and inventory operations. You'll collaborate closely with Finance, Regulatory, and Design teams to manage BOM updates, resolve inventory variances, maintain compliance standards, and assist in inventory accounting. If you're skilled in data accuracy, have a strong command of ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus), and excel at handling multiple priorities with attention to detail, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ERP Item Code Management:
  • Create and update item codes in our ERP system, ensuring comprehensive and accurate details are captured for seamless inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Regularly review and optimize item codes to support efficient data validation and production workflows.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Maintenance:
  • Develop and maintain BOMs, ensuring all components are accurately listed for production needs.
  • Manage BOM changes from initiation to completion, collaborating closely with Regulatory and Design teams to ensure compliance and prevent duplication.
  • Inventory Valuation and Accounting:
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory valuation records, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
  • Support the Finance team with inventory accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Data Validation and Documentation:
  • Carefully review spec sheets and other key documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring high-quality data accuracy.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records to support easy access and reference for cross-departmental needs.
  • Inventory Control and Cycle Counts:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to confirm inventory accuracy and investigate variances.
  • Analyze inventory count variances, implement corrective actions as necessary, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting:
  • Assist in analyzing BOM and inventory costing to identify and manage cost changes, supporting budget and cost control strategies.
  • Generate and maintain reports as needed to communicate inventory and BOM status across departments.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Finance, Regulatory, and Design departments to ensure inventory, BOM processes, and documentation align with company standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for ERP and BOM-related inquiries, supporting effective communication across teams.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, BOM maintenance, inventory valuation, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus) and inventory management software.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform data analysis, manage large datasets, and generate detailed reports is a must.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, valuation, and costing principles.
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and the ability to identify and correct errors in documentation.
  • Communication and Teamwork:
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with various departments and contribute to a cohesive work environment.
  • Proactive approach to handling responsibilities, managing multiple priorities, and supporting cross-departmental projects.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
