WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
This senior manager is responsible for managing, controlling and directing the material planning, inventory control, storage, shipping and receiving functions. This position will be strictly Materials focused while working with other departments to meet business needs.
Job duties:
Coordinates with the purchasing, production and engineering departments to ensure adequate supply and efficient material movement.
Provides for the development and maintenance of inventory control systems by tracking the status of purchase orders, inventory levels and production requirements.
Reviews existing procedures for accuracy; recommend and implement improved procedures when necessary.
Forecasts plans for anticipated materials requirements.
Reviews production schedules to ensure the availability of materials.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Requires a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires at least 10 years' related experience.
At least five years of leadership experience is required.
Top candidates will also have:
Experience with 'Lean' material management.
Expert knowledge in data analysis tools (Excel, Access).
Strong verbal skills to effectively communicate with other departments.
Ability to develop and maintain strong, team-oriented relationships with colleagues.
