Job Summary:
As the Syndicated Lending Account Associate you will support the largest and most sophisticated corporate loan transactions in the market. You primarily provide operational support for syndicated credit structures agented by the bank or bilateral loans extended to a borrower solely by the bank. This is a client facing role with direct contact with borrowers, lenders, and business partners while performing loan servicing facets.
Job Responsibilities:
Initiate loan activity and reconcile funds movement as instructed by the client in accordance with credit agreements
Track and calculate complex interest and fee accruals at various rate levels
Reconcile daily funding and payment activity to account for all daily cash transactions
Interpret complex legal credit agreements and related documentation
Manage and escalate past due principal, interest, and fees
Maintain accuracy within the loan accounting platform in order to provide timely invoices
Maintain margin changes and appropriate communication to participating external banking groups
Provide information as requested by clients, business partners, middle office, or lenders
Monitor exception reports and updating applicable comments
Review new deals, restructures, and amendments by also verifying system accuracy
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Minimum 2yrs related industry experience and/or account management
Strong knowledge of Treasury bank funding fundamentals
3-5 years of Loan/Lending Operations experience
Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting syndicated credit agreements (pre/post-close)
Excellent oral and written communications skills along with strong interpersonal & client servicing skills
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient, and organized manner
Ability to work independently and partner well within a team environment
Strong analytical, problem solving and proven decision-making skills
Experience with reading and interpreting loan documentation
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge and familiarity with managing a portfolio of 30+ multicurrency syndicated deals.
Understanding of Revolver and Term loan pricing options
Knowledge or familiarity with currency payments using SWIFT MT202's and MT103 payment formatting
LOANIQ experience
Knowledge navigating payments, reconciliation and exception management within JP Morgan proprietary platforms
