Position Overview The Senior Preconstruction Director will lead the preconstruction efforts of our organization, ensuring the successful planning and execution of projects from inception to construction. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various stakeholders to develop competitive bids and deliver high-quality projects that meet client requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the preconstruction team to deliver comprehensive project estimates and schedules.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement preconstruction strategies that align with company objectives and client expectations.
Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities during the preconstruction phase.
Prepare and present detailed proposals and bid packages to clients and stakeholders.
Review and approve subcontractor scopes of work and pricing to ensure alignment with project budgets.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management or preconstruction roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Proven track record of successful preconstruction management for commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
Proficient in construction management software and tools.
