Traveling Superintendent Position Overview
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 annually + bonus
Location: This is a traveling position with projects around the Southeastern USA
Simply put, we're looking for a Super with ground-up big box experience. Experience with strip malls, light industrial (warehouses), or other large-scale, tilt-up construction projects may suffice.
The Superintendent will coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and designers to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and to our high quality standards -- all from the field.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and designers to ensure projects are built according to design specifications and contract documents
Manage ground-up big box projects from the field. We also have projects like strip malls, and light industrial, so experience in those areas is a plus.
Monitor progress and ensure quality control standards are met
Provide on-site supervision of subcontractors and vendors
Ensure OSHA, safety, and other regulatory standards are followed at all times
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial construction. Have 10+ years? Even better!
Experience on ground-up big box retail projects, such as Wal-Marts, Targets, Costcos, or other large-scale retail projects that utilize tilt-up construction with some interior finish work.
Sitework experience a big plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
