Tax Senior Position Overview The Tax Senior will be responsible for overseeing and managing tax-related activities for clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while providing expert guidance on tax strategies and planning. This role requires a strong background in public accounting and the ability to review and prepare complex tax returns effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
Conduct tax research and analysis to provide strategic tax planning advice to clients
Lead and manage tax-related projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situations and recommend tax-efficient strategies
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members in tax preparation and review processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
CPA or EA certification preferred
Experience with tax preparation software and tools
