PLC Programmer Location: Midland, TX You'll be travelling from your house to the client site throughout the week - most of our clients are within 45 mins of Midland. We offer relocation and/or housing assistance!
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PLC programs to ensure the efficient operation of our automation systems, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires a strong understanding of PLC programming and related technologies to optimize system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for various automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing PLC systems and programs.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate PLCs with HMI and SCADA systems.
Utilize software tools such as Allen Bradley, Redlion, and Crimson for programming and configuration.
Conduct testing and validation of PLC programs to ensure they meet project specifications.
Document programming changes and maintain accurate records of PLC configurations and updates.
Provide support for field installations and commissioning of PLC systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley controllers.
Familiarity with Redlion, Crimson, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of EasyBuilder software is a plus.
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
