Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, preparing tax returns, and ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic tax planning to optimize financial outcomes for the company.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in a timely manner.
Review and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations for annual, quarterly, and monthly filings.
Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and forecasts in accordance with accounting standards.
Provide support during tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with tax authorities.
Research and stay updated on changes in tax laws to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information required for tax reporting and planning.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Experience with preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and corporations.
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in tax software and Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
