Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for development and manufacturing products.

The Quality Engineer will:
  • Identify and resolve quality issues, report losses, and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with customers to support design development projects
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the AS9100 and ISO 9000 and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Be familiar with programming techniques associated with CMM's, vision systems and articulating arms.
  • Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
  • Identify and report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions

Candidates should possess:
  • The ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to apply mathematical fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Interpret CAD drawings and data comprehension.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most any problems dealing with processes or production.
  • Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform shop math.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write and read English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Technology or equivalent
  • 4+ years industry experience including co-ops and internships
