Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions
Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level designers; may manage projects / processes
May be responsible for entire projects or processes within a program
Contributes to the completion of CORE team objectives, building relationships to reach agreements on design direction of product and processes
Problems and issues faced are difficult, require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties
Makes improvements of processes and systems to enhance performance of the design group
Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements for the team as a whole
Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors
Exchange information of facts, status, and issues to achieve project goals and influence decision-making.
Provide guidance, coaching and training to other design engineers
Manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work
Requires advanced knowledge of assembly and test equipment design combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through design experience
Must Have:
BS Mechanical Engineering
5+ Years machine design experience
5+ Years CAD software experience (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
Automation design experience
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a University Degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
