About the Company - Our innovative Energy Client in the Valley of the Sun is seeking a Principal Civic Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their structure team with analysis, peer reviews, and third-party evaluations. Your expertise will contribute to the generation and delivery of sustainable and flexible power solutions. Serve as an advisor and mentor to less experienced Designers and Engineers. Conduct design reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards. Lead structural engineering. Oversee special project estimating and scoping activities. Perform optimization analysis and project scoping, considering standard and non-standard structures and materials to meet planning and project needs. Ensure designs comply with construction, maintenance, and industry standards. Utilize advanced PLS-CADD suite tools, including FE/SAPS modeling techniques and as-built wire system modeling. Apply expertise in TOWER software and ASCE 10 standards.

About the Role - Successful candidates: Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources for complex programs and projects in the energy industry. Established network of internal and external contacts, including customers, agencies, and suppliers. Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier facilities, industry events, and company sites. Strong collaboration skills across diverse organizational teams. Proficiency in engineering tools and software required for the role. Valid Arizona driver's license.

Responsibilities - Minimum of ten (10) years of professional engineering experience, energy preferred. Demonstrated success in delivering complex engineering projects. Contributions to internal or external technical publications or presentations.

Qualifications - Option I: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) institution, or ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA). Civil or Structure Engineering. AND Additional specialty training (e.g., MS Engineering, MBA, or 18 graduate-level semester hours in an engineering-related field) OR Professional Engineering registration recognized by the International Professional Engineers Agreement. Option II: Professional Engineering registration recognized by the International Professional Engineers Agreement. AND Additional specialty training (18 graduate-level semester hours from an accredited institution).

Required Skills - Valid Arizona driver's license.

Preferred Skills - Licenses & Certifications: Valid Arizona driver's license.
