Elevate Technology is seeking an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) with a strong background in Systems Engineering to support operations at China Lake. This position involves maintaining and supporting the BMIS (Battle Management Information Systems) baseline while collaborating with site personnel to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure components. The role requires expertise in VMware, Windows, and Linux baselines, and a proactive approach to improving system performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day sustainment and support for the installed BMIS baseline.
Assist Network/System Administrators and other site users in resolving technical challenges.
Support site personnel with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting applications or infrastructure components.
Submit recommendations for configuration changes to enhance performance and security.
Identify and address performance and security issues and provide actionable recommendations.
Complete all applicable fielding prerequisites and post-installation tasks for new releases.
Collaborate with the Operations Team to identify achievable site-specific objectives and track progress.
Document lessons learned and track metrics to share with other FSR personnel.
Serve as the on-site representative for BMIS CBC2 technology and services, interfacing with all levels of stakeholders from end-users to senior leaders.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience as a Field Service Representative or in a similar role.
Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Proficiency in Systems Engineering with expertise in VMware, Windows, and Linux baselines.
In-depth knowledge and experience with modern IT configured as an on-premises cloud stack.
Familiarity with BMIS C2 applications and the BMIS mission.
Demonstrated ability to install, troubleshoot, and resolve system and application issues.
Hands-on experience with local system administration tasks such as provisioning users and managing configurations.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Experience training users on systems and utilizing issue-tracking systems such as Jira Service Desk or ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or similar secure environment.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Linux, or ITIL).
