Contract to hire opportunity

Our client is seeking an SAP MM Consultant who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and production support of the Purchase to Pay and Inventory Management business processes in our SAP environment. The position will work with business clients to design and implement global solutions using standard SAP as well as other partner systems to support the above business processes. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical and technical skills and will include working in a project lead role on small to medium-sized projects.

TARGETED OUTCOMES
• Develop trusted partnership with the Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Commercial Finance organization leadership and resources.
• Complete a knowledge transfer on internal processes and solutions of Purchase to Pay, Inventory Management functions.
• Provide support within SLA guidelines and/or coordinate with Application Management Support (AMS) Team.
• Demonstrate initiative to acquire and utilize new technical skills within job function.
• Achieve target dates for assigned tasks aiding in on-budget delivery of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation and Configuration:
• Provide expert support for SAP Materials Management (MM) module
• Organizational structure configuration
• Purchase requisition and Purchase Order configuration
• Preq and PO Release procedure configuration
• Stock Transport Order (STO) configuration and processing
• Invoice Verification configuration and processing
• Relevant Vendor and Material Master configuration and processing
• Inventory Management movement types configuration, integration with up and downstream modules and processing
• Account Payable incoming invoice processing (exception handling and approval workflows)
• Consulting with technical staff to provide functional/technical specifications to develop RICEF solutions.
• Upgrades and Enhancements:
• Stay informed about SAP updates, patches, and new functionalities.
• Participate in the planning and execution of SAP system upgrades and enhancements.
• Help monitor and maintain system reliability.

Integration:
• Support integrations with SAP and ongoing process improvements.
• Collaborate with other SAP functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP WM, SD, PP, PM, PS as well as downstream FI/CO).
• Support of the ReadSoft Vendor Invoice Management solution.

Business Process Analysis and Continuous Improvement:
• Facilitate thoughtful design discussions to meet business needs using best practices and SAP product capabilities.
• Demonstrate the ability to gather business requirements to design and implement technical solutions.
• Ability to coordinate with other IT and business resources to successfully implement solutions.
• Proactively address continuous improvement requests and drive them to completion.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in SAP Purchase to Pay processes and recommend solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in SAP Purchase to Pay.

Testing:
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
• Identify and regression test functionality that may be impacted by new changes.
• Manage unit testing of changes in development systems to ensure solutions are ready for UAT.
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders to gain successful sign off.

User Support/Training and Documentation:
• Provide end-user support by troubleshooting and resolving SAP MM-related issues.
• Manage IT Service Desk tickets and ensure they are addressed within expected SLA's.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP MM functionalities.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of SAP MM configurations, processes, and solutions.
• Keep documentation up-to-date with any changes or enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or other related area
• Demonstrated proficiency in the MM modules with analysis and design of business applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to relate technical ideas and functionality to non-technical users
• Self-motivated work ethic, keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service orientation
• Strong analytical skills; ability to perform complex system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution
• Knowledge and experience with ABAP programming is a strong plus
• Understanding of integration to other SAP modules: SD, PM, FI/CO, is a strong plus
