United Business Bank is looking for an SBA Manager for our Los Angeles or Walnut Creek Offices.
POSITION PURPOSE
The SBA Manager will assist the Chief Lending Officer by overseeing the SBA division. The SBA Manager will assist the management of a team of operations support staff. The primary function will include process development, communication, and management of workflow among SBA Operations, Note, and Closing staff. The SBA Manager will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance and quality of the SBA loan portfolio and to appropriately train and provide guidance to the SBA team for efficient and effective processing of daily functions. The SBA Manager will also manage the Secondary Market Sales process. The SBA Manager performs all duties accurately, timely and efficiently, and according to Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, as well as the SBA SOP. The SBA Manager will also partner with the Chief Lending Officer and other members of the SBA team to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge: Thorough understanding of SBA SOP guidelines. 5 years' related credit experience and/or training required. 2 years of supervisor or management experience beneficial.
Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years' Bank experience in lending or banking.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong management and analytical skills including sales and business development skills.
Strong knowledge of underwriting and documentation of business and commercial transactions.
General knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statement preparation and tax return preparation in order to develop opinions and recommendations.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
Basic computer skills including the use of excel, word processing, email and spreadsheets.
Attention to details.
Hiring Salary Range: $160,000 to $175,000.
