Estimator Role:
The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and managing financial aspects of all projects from start to finish.
Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract services for projects, based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications.
Establish systems and procedures for cost tracking and reporting.
Prepare regular cost and expenditure reports, including forecasts, throughout each project lifecycle.
Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors, to conduct studies to assess the financial impact of changes or adjustments to cost estimates.
Report to management on project performance, highlighting any variances between production and bid estimates for projects and crews.
Estimator Background Profile:
Degree a plus, but not required
Advanced Excel skills
5+ years of experience in purchasing and estimating
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and understanding architectural drawings and specifications to generate detailed estimates.
Familiarity with various contract types and deal structures.
