We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lender to join our team at a trusted community bank dedicated to serving local businesses. This role is essential in fostering relationships with commercial clients, evaluating creditworthiness, and managing loan portfolios to support the growth of our local economy.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and commercial clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lending inquiries and solutions.
Actively participate in community events to enhance the bank's visibility and engagement.
Loan Origination and Underwriting
Identify and pursue opportunities for commercial loans, including lines of credit, equipment financing, and real estate loans.
Assess loan applicants' creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, business plans, and market conditions.
Structure loan terms and conditions that align with the bank's policies while meeting client needs.
Portfolio Management
Monitor and manage assigned loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular client reviews to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Address delinquent accounts and coordinate with the credit team to resolve issues.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all loan transactions comply with banking regulations, internal policies, and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of loan applications, approvals, and modifications.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Work closely with the credit team to streamline loan processing and approval workflows.
Partner with other departments to cross-sell banking products and services, fostering a holistic approach to client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial lending, preferably within a community bank setting.
Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit underwriting, and loan documentation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in banking software and tools for credit evaluation and loan processing.
