Our company is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer Manager to help oversee and drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure quality standards are met in our manufacturing facility. This role combines expertise in process improvement, automation, quality assurance, and leadership to achieve operational excellence and foster a culture of innovation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Evaluate and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and product consistency.
Partner with engineering teams to integrate advanced technologies into production workflows.
Oversee quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and monitor quality metrics, conducting audits and inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns and maintain material standards.
Provide strategic direction and day-to-day management for plant engineering operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce.
Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Effectively manage cap x budgets for projects, project schedules, and resource allocation for optimal plant performance.
Identify and implement process optimization opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Troubleshoot any issues with the plant utility systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and integrate best practices.
Manage employee performance of your team, if applicable, providing regular feedback, evaluations, and opportunities for professional growth.
Train employees on equipment and machinery, following all safety and quality standards, as needed.
Address employee relations issues within your team, if applicable, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles with experience as an engineer being preferred.
Proven experience leading teams and driving cultural and operational improvements.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or other quality standards.
Familiarity with automation technologies and their application in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies are preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
