Location: 100% onsite in Irvine, CA
Employment Type: Direct-hire
Compensation: $140,000 to $190,000
(Based on level of experience)

Our client is seeking a visionary Sr Program Manager who has managed programs with initiatives around Hardware/IoT devices (Software, Cloud as it relates to them). This person is to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge program management methodologies across our global product development centers. This role is integral to driving the success of their complex consumer product initiatives and requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in program management within these domains.

There are dozens of new product development projects simultaneously. The PMO's responsibility is to track the milestones of each of these projects and present them at a higher level to the Sr Leadership of the Business Unit. In addition, the PMO is responsible to conduct product operations and execution reviews once a quarter.
  • Managing Product Development Projects: Oversee the planning and management of HW+SW projects from concept to general availability. Products are designed and developed by R&D teams located in both U.S. and Asia
  • Design of Product Development Lifecycle: Design new product development lifecycle and improve and optimize the existing ones. Evangelize and train all parts of the company in the use of the product development lifecycle. Create supporting material for the product development lifecycle (templates, training, SOP, recordings). Removing roadblocks in the adoption of product development lifecycle.
  • Managing Cross-Functional team Activities: Own and lead cross-functional product development activities across R&D organizations in the U.S. and Asia
  • Providing Expertise/Sharing Best Practices: Provide guidance based on experience to steer and scale the Program Management Office and product operation. Share past best practices to jump start activities and save time
  • Mentoring: Mentoring junior TPMs and functional leaders on new methodologies, tools, processes
  • Building Relationships: Building relationships with key functional leaders across U.S. and Asia. Other functional leaders will consider you as the expert leader
  • Communication: Candidate will provide written and verbal reports to various functional leader regarding product development activities

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Program Management, with deep expertise in hardware, Cloud, IoT consumer product development. You've led and managed large-scale, complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams like R&D, Product Management, and Engineering.
  • Technical Expertise: A solid foundation in hardware product development, with a track record of leading projects from concept to general availability.
  • Program Management Visionary: Demonstrated ability to design, refine, and implement program management processes that deliver exceptional results.
  • Global Mindset: Ability to work with distributed teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
