About Us:
Global Integrity Investments LLC is a growing real estate acquisition firm specializing in the acquisition and management of multi-family complexes. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of the firm, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and assisting with budgeting, auditing, and payroll. The position requires a thorough understanding of real estate accounting principles, tax law, compliance, and property management software, particularly AppFolio and DoorLoop.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Bookkeeping: Manage the day-to-day financial transactions for the company, including processing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
Real Estate Management: Oversee and audit rent collections and expenses for each property, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget expectations.
Performance Reporting: Run monthly performance reports for each property, including budget vs. actual comparisons, to track financial performance.
Construction Budget Management: Track and balance construction budgets for various real estate projects, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
Tax and Compliance: Apply extensive knowledge of real estate tax laws and grant programs. Prepare and file all necessary tax documents, including real estate-related tax forms, grants, and other legal filings.
Payroll and Employment Forms: Administer payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing. File all employment-related forms, such as W-2s, 1099s, and other state and federal filings.
Audit and Reconciliation: Perform regular audits of financials, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements to maintain financial integrity.
Property Management Software: Utilize property management software (AppFolio, DoorLoop) to manage tenant data, track payments, and generate financial reports.
Property Management Experience: With at least 2 years of experience in property management, you will bring an understanding of how to efficiently manage the financials of residential properties, communicate with tenants, and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with a focus on real estate acquisition or property management.
Minimum of 2 years of property management experience.
Strong knowledge of real estate tax law, grant programs, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in property management software, specifically AppFolio and DoorLoop.
Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience managing construction budgets and tracking performance metrics.
Knowledge of payroll processing and employment tax filings.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
