Job Title: Business Principal Development Consultant (Staffing Agency)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Principal Business Development Consultant to join our team at Spencer Ogden, a leading staffing agency specializing in sustainability. This role is designed for an individual with experience in business development within the staffing industry who is eager to further grow their skills and contribute to the agency's success. The Associate Business Development Manager will focus on identifying and acquiring new business, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the expansion of our services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in staffing agency business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Identify and target new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and cold calling potential clients in key industries.
Generate new client leads and build a pipeline of opportunities through outreach efforts, including emails, phone calls, and meetings.
Develop and execute strategies to expand the client base and increase revenue by offering tailored staffing solutions.
Engage with potential clients to understand their hiring needs and position.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new clients, ensuring that their staffing needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Collaborate with clients to assess their business goals and provide customized staffing solutions.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the staffing process.
Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure that client needs are clearly communicated and staffing goals are met.
Market Research & Strategy:
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
Develop strategic approaches to target clients based on market insights and staffing requirements.
Work with senior business development staff to refine and implement strategies for business growth.
Proposal and Presentation Development:
Assist in creating tailored proposals and presentations for new clients, demonstrating the value of Spencer Ogden's staffing solutions.
Present staffing solutions to potential clients in a clear, persuasive manner, highlighting the benefits of partnering with the agency.
Support the negotiation process, ensuring alignment on service agreements, terms, and pricing.
Sales Tracking & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including leads, opportunities, and closed deals, using CRM software.
Track and report on sales metrics, including calls made, meetings held, proposals submitted, and deals closed.
Provide regular updates to management on progress toward sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaboration & Team Support:
Collaborate with internal teams (recruitment, marketing, operations) to ensure smooth execution of staffing services and client satisfaction.
Provide input into marketing campaigns and materials aimed at attracting new clients.
Assist in setting and achieving team goals related to business development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in business development within a staffing agency or recruitment firm.
Proven track record of successfully generating new business and meeting sales targets in a competitive staffing market.
Experience working with a variety of industries and understanding the unique staffing needs of different sectors.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong sales acumen with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to engage and influence decision-makers at various levels.
Self-motivated and results-driven with a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Proficient in CRM software (e.g. Bullhorn) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in staffing sales or business development within specialized industries.
Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other staffing tools.
Familiarity with lead generation techniques and sales automation tools.
