Job Description:

Position Overview: The Senior Associate for Corporate Development is responsible for supporting and executing strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, investments, and other corporate development activities to drive business growth. This role involves significant cross-functional collaboration and requires a deep understanding of corporate strategy, financial analysis, and market trends. The Senior Associate will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the identification and execution of key corporate strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Analysis:
  • Assist in the development and execution of corporate strategy, including evaluating potential growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Conduct industry research and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and board members.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support:
  • Identify, evaluate, and screen potential acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Perform financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation analysis to support M&A transactions.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Support integration planning and post-merger integration activities.

Partnerships and Strategic Alliances:
  • Manage and nurture relationships with potential and existing business partners.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities, negotiate terms, and structure deals.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of partnerships and alliances.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cash flow models, valuations, and return-on-investment (ROI) assessments.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations based on financial insights and performance metrics.
  • Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting for corporate development projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams including finance, legal, marketing, and operations to support corporate development initiatives.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as consultants, legal advisors, and financial institutions.

Project Management:
  • Lead or support cross-functional teams in the execution of corporate development initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure timely execution of deliverables, adherence to budgets, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting. Experience with M&A, strategic partnerships, or business development is highly preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactical plans.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
