Job Overview: • Responsible for participating in delivering membership services to new and existing members consistent with the strategic plan, budgetary goals, and member needs, and supporting meeting annual membership and alternative revenue goals. The pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.
Responsibilities & Duties
Membership: • Lead and expand the Partner Member program including member outreach and retention, recruiting, engagement and benefits management, revenue goals, etc. • Deliver membership services - i.e., be the concierge and a key relationship manager to Partner members. • Develop and execute Partner Member engagement and touch plans, materials and communications for membership development and meetings. • Maximize Partner Member satisfaction to ensure that DISCUS provides the highest quality of membership services, member retention and growth. • Work collaboratively with other Director who manages the Craft Membership program. Assist other Director with craft membership recruitment and retention, as needed. • Plan periodic onsite visits with Partner members and prospective Partner members, trade shows and other external events for membership recruiting and providing visibility benefits for members. • Build positive rapport and relationships with individuals and groups to help showcase DISCUS membership offerings and ROI to members. • Assist as needed regarding Director member outreach, engagement, recruiting and onboarding; speaking engagements at trade shows and partnership events; provide membership data for Board meetings.
Programming: • Assist in the programming of the "Ask the Experts" webinar series featuring Partner Members and other industry experts.
Revenue Generation: • Work with Membership team members to expand opportunities for generating dues and non-dues revenue. • Collaborate with Events and Education team to drive revenue for conferences and events through sponsorship development and acquisition, content creation to ensure Partner members and sponsors are incorporated, and other marketing support. • Support non-dues revenue program including sponsorships; manage relationships and contracts with these vendors and partners.
Efficiency and Collaboration: • Ensure utilization of CRM and assist in management of CRM support consultant. • Along with other Membership team members, accurately updates and tracks member and prospect data in the CRM. Uses tracking data from CRM daily to engage strategically with members and prospective members. • Communicate and collaborate with other departments on a regular basis.
Qualifications & Standards • Education level: Bachelor's Degree • Experience: Association or membership organization experience desired, membership retention, recruitment and consistently high satisfaction.
Specific Skills • Membership program experience in a trade association or other membership organization ensuring new and existing members are receiving services consistent with the strategic plan • Quick to connect and enthusiastically build relationships • Proactive and a self-starter, but does not work in a silo and proactively keeps colleagues and supervisors informed regularly without reminders • Driven to get things accomplished in a timely manner • Strong knowledge of CRM systems and how to best utilize them to increase efficiency and member services • Positive response to pressure • Personnel management and understanding of business functions • Outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style • Sense of urgency for goal achievement • Results focused idea generation, innovative and creative problem solving • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics • Conference sponsorship and tradeshow experience • Basic knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual
