The Strategic Relationship Manager is a relationship builder, connector, advocate, and results-oriented problem solver. Through strong relationships and organizational skills, they can proactively identify client needs and work with team members to ensure needs are met. The Strategic Relationship Manager must develop, coordinate, and implement plans designed to assist the Leader of the market to meet the company's annual revenue and gross profit goals while working within the overall budget. This position is the "quarterback" of new selling opportunities and, in most cases, will "handoff" responsibility of the opportunity once competitive business is closed.
Duties Include:
1. Prospecting & Lead Generation
o Compile and maintain list of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information provided from leadership, lead groups, cold calling, business directories, and other sources through CRM.
o Identify potential clients, customers, or business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
o Attend industry events to increase brand awareness of the company and when doing so, demonstrate an attitude and appearance that represent the highest personal, moral, and business standards in the marketplace and to our clients.
o Generate and qualify leads to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
2. Client Acquisition
o Develops an annual market strategy plan with division leadership ensuring a strategic approach to growth and appropriate use of company resources.
o Works with sales and design to demonstrate products using samples, catalogs, plans, and other sales resources emphasizing salable features.
o Identify target markets and develop plans to penetrate them.
3. Relationship Building
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
o Collaborates with Account Directors and Account Managers to leverage internal resources and expertise in the sales process.
4. Achieving Sales Targets
o Achieve sales targets and objectives as defined by leadership.
o Monitor and report on sales performance and key metrics.
5. Documentation and Reporting
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
o Provide regular reports on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
o Prepares business transaction reports and keeps expense accounts.
o Collaborates with division leadership to ensure the best-suited team for each opportunity is presented to the client.
6. Internal Collaboration
o Attends all sales/staff meetings, company meetings, and training seminars as may be required.
o Works primarily from the FMG Showroom when not out in the market. Work from home is permitted at the discretion of division leadership.
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related role. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. • Knowledge of the industry and market trends. • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
