Job Description:

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Multi-Family General Contractor in the East Bay Area of San Francisco on their search for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to work on Large-scale Mixed-Use, Hospitality, and Multifamily Construction projects up to $50+ Million.

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the project team in the full gamut of the construction process. You will develop and maintain positive relationships that result in long-term partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager.

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (2+ years)

Project Types: Mixed-use, Multi-Family, Hospitality, Senior Living, Ground-up projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
  • Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
  • Oversee & Manage the project schedules and budgets
  • Oversee, Develop and Maintain a good relationship with Owner, Architect, and Subcontractors
  • Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
  • Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
  • Manage project deliverables
  • Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting

Requirements:
  • BS in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar is a preferred
  • 2+ year's construction experience in Multi-Family, Mixed-Use, or Hospitality construction experience
  • Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and design consultants.
