Global architecture, engineering and construction firm Cordogan Clark (formerly known as Ittner Architects) is seeking a vice president to join our Aurora office team. This is a full-time position that demands a talented, motivated, licensed professional with 15+ years of full-time design and municipal project type experience who is able to multitask.
This in-office/hybrid position requires the energies and expertise of a professional possessing an accredited degree in architecture and licensure, with the ability to obtain Missouri and Illinois registrations. The winning candidate must demonstrate proficiency in BIM 360/Revit and show proven industry leadership experience with success in project work and talent/resource development. Expertise in building materials, construction methods, building costs/codes and integration of engineering disciplines is also a must. Basic hand and CAD drafting skills are required, as are strong visual and written presentation skills. Understanding of a range of computer applications including Adobe, Bluebeam and 3D programs is required.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced architect and recognized leader in the education, municipal, recreation or corporate design industry with a robust portfolio of built work.
Responsibilities include establishing overall design direction and advancing design excellence, overseeing design presentations, participating in critical design dialog across all project teams within the studio and evaluating the quality of studio work, monitoring project design development, ensuring quality of design concepts and detailing in a complete set of construction documents and mentoring architects in all phases of project development.
This position reports to the principals and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will set the tone for project quality and client experience and may function as the primary client contact. The individual will actively assist office leadership in attracting, retaining, growing and recognizing diverse talent.
