Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, improving, and overseeing the processes, procedures, and equipment used in making Hollow Metal Doors and Frames.
Key Responsibilities:
Review production processes and data to find ways to improve manufacturing capacity.
Make sure manufacturing processes comply with laws and regulations.
Analyze labor, material, and production costs and develop plans to improve quality and reduce costs.
Plan workflow, equipment layout, and space usage to make manufacturing more efficient.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to keep it running smoothly.
Review quality control processes and suggest improvements.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Operations Management, or significant experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations.
Skills:
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or certification.
Metal fabrication knowledge, including processes like Stamping, Punching, Shearing, Bending, Welding, etc.
Experience with CNC/NC equipment and automation is a plus.
Project management experience is also a plus.
Location:
This job requires you to work onsite at our Port Washington, NY office.
