A state government healthcare agency is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting the Workday HCM integration project. This position will serve as the primary liaison between the healthcare agency and the statewide initiative, ensuring alignment of the agency's enterprise architecture with the state's transition from the Agency Financial Reporting System to Workday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Represent the a healthcare agency in project meetings and workgroups, advocating for the agency's needs and requirements in the Workday implementation.
2. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts that align the agency's systems and processes with objectives and Workday's capabilities.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders and other state agencies to identify integration points between the agency's systems and Workday.
4. Conduct gap analysis between the current Agency Financial Reporting System-based processes and future state Workday processes, proposing solutions to bridge identified gaps.
5. Provide technical leadership and guidance on architectural decisions and integration with Workday.
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all architectural designs and proposals related to the Workday implementation.
7. Develop migration strategies for transitioning systems and data from the Agency Financial Reporting System to Workday.
8. Communicate complex technical concepts related to the Workday implementation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on large-scale government IT systems.
- Strong understanding of financial management systems, preferably including experience with Agency Financial Reporting Systems and/or Workday.
- Experience with cloud technologies and migration strategies, particularly in the context of financial systems.
- Familiarity with health IT systems and relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with Workday implementation or similar cloud-based financial management systems is a strong plus.
