Job Description:

VISION: Multi-plant B2B that designs, manufacturers, and delivers customized solutions to a wide range of customers (i.e., consumer products, office supplies, electronics, food & beverage). Business is profitable, expanding, reinvesting in infrastructure, and committed to customer satisfaction.

OPPORTUNITY: Highly automated, capital equipment intensive business leader that has organically grown and added acquisitions. Report to CEO and partner across the enterprise. CEO wants to build a more robust Lean and CI culture from top down and bottom up. There are 1, 2, & 3 shift operations and sophisticated capital equipment, robotics, AI and quality standards. At each location there are leaders and employees that have been engaged in kaizen events, 6S, lean, SMED, and Gemba walks. The plants have both unique and common practices due to production capabilities and customer base.

  • Develop a Lean and Continuous Improvement training program (Train the Trainer) across the business that will improve productivity, minimize inventories, reduce cycle time, eliminate waste and ensure safety and quality.
  • Identify and review business requirements and operations, conducting performance studies, prepare cost benefit analysis, recommend process improvements, and lead change and evolution.
  • Build a Lean team.
  • Consult, partner and/or lead process improvement programs; provide continuing measurements, analyses, and recommendations; develop new business models; identifying low-cost designs, materials, processes, and sources; and evaluate new technologies and equipment.
  • Measure KPI performance and develop standards, processes and goals; make presentations to leadership on proposed opportunities as well as ongoing projects.
  • Endorse sustainability programs.

REQUIREMENTS: BS required (ideally Engineering); MBA/MS or Six Sigma Black Belt certification a plus. Seek 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a history of leading, teaching, and practicing lean and continuous improvement methodologies in a multi-plant setting. Ideal candidates might have started their career with 3M, Caterpillar, Danaher, Ford, Fortive, GE, Honeywell, ITT, ITW, Motorola, Parker Hannifin, Raytheon, Stanley Black & Decker, Textron Toyota, or like.

SALARY:$160,000 to $200,000 DOE plus bonus, relocation assistance, and excellent benefits
