The Data Engineering group at Havas Media is looking for a Specialist who would play an instrumental role in further developing our data and analytics capabilities. The opportunity is to join our growing Data Engineering and Business Intelligence team as we build our data product capability to service new and long-standing clients.
This role can sit in our NYC, Boston or Chicago office. We're hybrid and requires only 2x per week in the office.
This role requires someone with strong analytical and technical skills, and who is comfortable working across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. An ideal candidate would partner with both data engineers and data analysts to build strong data foundations, expanding our modern data workflows and data-driven culture at Havas.
A Specialist in this position is exposed to a range of clients, projects, and responsibilities. You will be working with a team of talented individuals in Analytics, Decision Sciences, and MarTech to help develop data solutions that power business results for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Partner with other cross-functional teams to understand problems-to-be-solved with our current data platform and deliver high-quality data solutions to stakeholders across the business
Interface with Engineers, Product Managers, and Analysts to gather requirements and understand data needs
Assist in architecting, implementing, and deploying new data models and data processes in production
Build data visualizations using tools such as PowerBI, to design dashboards that provide meaningful insights into the data
Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating technical documentation and sharing case studies
Need to have:
1-2 years of professional experience
Strong academic or professional background, with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in SQL with experience in data transformation and wrangling.
Hands-on experience with tools like dbt or Dataform and data warehouses such as BigQuery or Redshift.
Solid understanding of Google Cloud Services and its components.
Demonstrated ability to build impactful dashboards using Power BI.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively.

Understanding of online advertising ecosystem and performance metrics
