CalWest's partner school in the Bay Area seeks an experienced Physics Teacher to begin in July 2025.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required.
Master's degree and experience working with secondary school students preferred.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Experience working with middle school students is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Teaching classical mechanics alongside a rotation of thematic classes at the middle school and high school levels.
Ensure lesson plans are engaging and active, which supports a positive classroom management program.
Additional responsibilities include mentoring independent projects and teaching mini-courses related to physics or the successful candidate's interests.
Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and activities.
Encourage collaboration and teamwork among students on physics projects.
